The USL W League, which kicked off in 2022, strengthens the women’s soccer pipeline in the United States and supports the development of the USL’s women’s pathway, offering an elite platform committed to providing more opportunities for women both on and off the field. The USL W League is the nation’s premier pre-professional League, focused on developing the next generation of women’s soccer talent both on and off the field. The USL W League enhances the pipeline between college and professional women’s soccer and is an integral part of the USL Women’s Pathway. The USL W League offers a summer platform for athletes to continue competing at a high level while retaining their NCAA eligibility. With over 90 teams across the United States, the USL W League is bringing elite women’s soccer to communities across the country.
The 2026 season will kick off in May and will run through July. USL W League Madison will host seven home games in 2026. This will be primarily League matches with a friendly or two.
The community will name the team. USL W League Madison is currently accepting submissions for the name of the team. To submit your name for the team, please click here. The Club will be conducting community focus groups to guide the direction of the name of the team. USL W League founding members, supporters and community leaders will be invited to participate in the focus groups.

The Club is in the process of hiring a Sporting Director and Head Coach. The coaching staff will be responsible for the roster build. To express interest, please click here.
Founding memberships are on sale now for a deposit of just $45. Founding members will be guaranteed the same seat for every match, receive a merchandise discount and have a flexible ticket exchange policy. Single-game tickets will go on sale next Spring.
The schedule will not be released until early 2026. However, the expectation is that the matches will be played in the evenings, with a majority of matches on weekends and several weekday matches. Exact times and days of the week are subject to change based on the final schedule.
The Flock, the independent supporters group of Forward Madison, will be collaborating on the formation of a supporters group for the USL W League Madison.
The City of Madison and Big Top Events LLC, the operator of Breese Stevens Field, Forward Madison FC and USL W League Madison, currently have plans to replace the playing surface in advance of the 2026 season. The City is also making locker room modifications and upgrades for the USL W League Club.
The Forward Club, the Pandata Suites and the Michelob Ultra Beer Garden will all be available for USL W League matches.
